Service Options:
Comprehensive Pediatric/Adult Neuropsychological Evaluation:
This evaluation will evaluate cognitive abilities (IQ), executive functions, attention skills, impulsivity, and mental health. If there are academic concerns, we can add that in as well. The total time for a pediatric evaluation is about 3-4 hours in the office with some time spent outside the office completing questionnaires. Adult evaluations range from 2-4 hours with more time outside the office completing questionnaires.
Adult ADHD Evaluation:
An adult evaluation for ADHD, when there are no other concerns and no psychological history, is less time consuming and requires a shorter written report. The evaluation might consist of partial cognitive testing, performance measures, and questionnaires. The total time in the office is usually close to 2 hours.
Adult Autism Evaluation or Autism and ADHD Combined:
An adult evaluation for neurodevelopmental disorders includes everything listed in the comprehensive neuropsychological evaluation but also includes assessments specific to social skills and language. We try our best to collect as much developmental history information as possible and like to get information from parents or close relatives when possible. This evaluation can be time consuming for both the provider and client depending on the needs.
IQ Only Assessment:
This evaluation requires only about one hour of time spent in the office. We offer a simple score report or a more comprehensive deep dive into what the scores mean. The cost depends on the report type.
Academic Achievement Testing:
Sometimes parents only have concerns about something specific, such as reading or writing. We are able to offer abbreviated evaluations focused on academic achievement; however, getting a comprehensive evaluation is often recommended in order to avoid misdiagnosing. We like to know a child's cognitive abilities before diagnosing learning disabilities.
Check Your Benefits
Please note: Due to changing laws, payment rates, and lack of transparency from insurance companies, we have decided to be a private pay clinic. This means that we have flexibility in what areas we can assess and what tools we can use. We will not report any diagnoses to any agencies, and the client will ultimately decide what to do with the final information. We offer a sliding scale for therapy.
We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. We also accept Health Service Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards. Private pay clients can divide payment into 3 payments. Private pay for therapy is due immediately after each session and will be charged using your card on file.
